Ensuring Product Quality
We treat all our shipments with the great care. We specially package and ship your products so that they will arrive in perfect condition. Please review the shipping terms and policies below to understand your responsibilities in ensuring the best possible experience.
Our chocolates are shipped from Montclair, NJ, to any destination in the US except Alaska and Hawaii. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APOs, FPOs, Alaska, Hawaii, or foreign addresses. We are not responsible for damages, losses or delays caused by USPS, UPS, or customer negligence.
Vesta Chocolate is not responsible for the product after it has been handed over to the carrier (UPS or USPS). The customer is responsible for ensuring timely receipt of the product and mitigating any weather, theft, physical or other damages at the destination. The customer should make sure that someone will be available to receive the package at the time of delivery. Please also consider the weather at your order’s destination when choosing shipping options.
To ensure your product arrives in the best condition we only process shipments Monday through Wednesday (Thursday for East Coast) and avoid weekend travel times and deliveries. We cannot guarantee Monday deliveries on any order. We may elect to require a signature for delivery and hold the shipment if there is a chance of heat damage.
Summer time Shipping
From May 1 to November 1, when outside temperatures exceed 75 degrees, we will use heat sheets, thermal envelopes and frozen gel packs in an effort to keep your orders in the same condition as when they left the shop. However, when it is intensely hot even our best efforts are not always perfect. In these cases of hot weather, we strongly encourage the use of overnight shipping. Despite our efforts, we are not responsible for any heat damage that that might occur for 2-day air or ground shipments, and/or if the recipient is not present at the time of the delivery resulting in extended exposure to the sun and/or heat. In addition, we may elect to delay shipping an order if the chance of heat damage is likely.
Incorrect Address and Delivery Issues
Vesta Chocolate is not responsible for delays due to incorrect addresses, UPS shipping mistakes, acceptance requirements or transit delays. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
If a shipment needs to be returned or rerouted, the customer may be subject to additional charges for reshipment.
